I started dancing over 10 years ago, training in classical ballet and modern/contemporary dance at Southland Ballet Academy, and dancing in their company (Festival Ballet Theatre)'s productions. Graduating with a degree in dance from the University of California, Irvine has helped further inspire me to keep experimenting with the many ways dance can be used as a creative art form- one of these being screen dance. I think that there is such an opportunity for storytelling and seeing and experiencing choreography in new ways through this form.
As a young teenager I also grew up with an interest in photography, and I think that this, mixed with a love that I have for various art forms such as painting, dance, video, design, and music has drawn me to want to use them together in my projects.
