Brushes and Font Styles updates

I’ve just finished making two new brush sets, an abstract set and one text brush set. You can find the new text brushes over here at Text Brushes (page 2) and the new Abstract brushes over here at Abstract Brushes.

I’ve also added a new Font Styles set - we’re a bit low for content on font styles, so I tried to fill it up a little. You can find the Font Styles set over here at Font Styles.

LiveJournal Icon Textures; going funky!

I wanted to make some text icons - but they were all so boring, so instead I made some colourful useful icon textures - two sets - for when I decide to make text icons. I tried a few of them out on some text-icons and I thought they looked heaps more interesting.

Rockin’ ‘n’ Rollin’ with Wallpapers

I’ve added seven new wallpapers, they’re pretty simple and pretty similar, but I like them, they’re different compared to my normal wallpapers.

“You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him…”

When things change in life, I begin to think. About the future and about the past, about things I picked up in the past, but never focused my full attention on. I’m not sure that makes sense, but I’m not sure how to word it any better.

I found this quote, but stupidly can’t remember who quoted it. It’s so brilliant and it’s made me really realise some stuff, which I remember “seeing” and thinking “It’s not right”, but I must have not taken it in enough, because only now - after reading that quote did I realise how it showed so much into a person I cared about…

 You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him. 

It’s true you know, that what people say behind others backs, shows who they really are, what they’re like and whether we trust them. Because if someone is talking behind someone else’s back - you know it’s a possible chance that they will about you too.

Do you agree? Disagree? Get wordy and tell me what that quote makes you think.

If you’ve seen the homepage, you may have noticed the new photographs we added to Flickr - Rosanna, Sasha and I have been experimenting with modeling and photography. On almost all of the new photographs, we’ve been using my favourite combination… Canon EOS 5D and 135mm lens.

We’ve got some very random photographs, no real theme - the above one is of me, in my mother’s old dress - it was my favourite dress when I was smaller, I always used to try it on hoping it would fit and now it does!

This one is a quick snapshot I took of Sasha (left) and Rosanna (right). I only took two, so it was pretty lucky - I can’t really believe it turned out so well.

Anyway, there are a bunch more, check them out and let me know what you like best, we’re going to be trying loads more ideas out. ^^

Wallpaper Crazy

Rosanna asked me to mention that she added 5 new wallpapers today - I think she used up her writing skills in the showcasing blog. Hehe, Rosanna and I have discovered she prefers making graphics and I prefer coding and writing… works well though!

Showcased by CSS Lounge & CSS Mania

Yesterday evening we discovered that CSS Mania, added LTY Designs to their stunning gallery of inspiring CSS Web designs.

If that wasn’t enough we also discovered this morning that the wonderful CSS Lounge also showcased LTY Designs on their beautiful gallery.

What an honor!

It was only yesterday we discovered that we were added to Design Shack’s amazing gallery of inspiring CSS Web designs which Olivia wrote about in another post when she found out, then little after that we found out we’re being showcased on CSS Mania and then this morning CSS Lounge.

Olivia and I are just ecstatic - we’ve never been showcased on websites like CSS Mania and Design Shack… or in fact anything! It’s a wonderful honor to be showcased on such websites!

A big thank you to you all, our visitors for coming to LTY Designs, using this website and thus making us strive to improve LTY Designs for you - it’s all down to you that we’re here now and being showcased.

Design Shack: Showcasing LTY Designs

This morning we received an email from Design Shack, letting us know that LTY Designs has been added to their gorgeous gallery of inspiring CSS Web designs.

I have been a subscriber for a number of months, always finding inspiration in the websites they showcase which I receive via email. I’ve spent a long time browsing their website, enjoying and envying all the showcased websites.

I never thought LTY Designs would be good enough to be showcased, so as I’m sure you can guess Rosanna and I are both elated. What an honor to be showcased on Design Shack.

We’re both at a loss for words really, just so delighted to be showcased.

Go Wild; get t-shirts?!

Hehehe, I chopped Rosanna’s head off in this photograph, poor head!

But it’s only because she went to pick salad and got all wet but I needed a picture of her t-shirt so it was the only way she’d let me take it.

Anyway… for a while we’ve been considering graphic design t-shirts and LTY Designs related ones. Something fun and funky to wear.

Now that we finally have the new design and restructure out of the way it is the next thing on the list! Yikes, no one wants to see our list of things to do.

So, what do you reckon?

They would be ones with just basic text, fun, colour text of course - with lots of different sayings, quotes… not only LTY Designs related.

We would also have graphic, abstract, crazy designs on them too, something like Rosanna’s t-shirt, but of course designed by Rosanna or myself.

We haven’t yet made anything as we thought it would be sensible to find out first whether anyone would like t-shirts. Hence this post!

Grunge Wallpapers

Rosanna has added four great grungy wallpapers - the photography used has all been taken by either Rosanna or myself.

They are all red and orange themed and like I said, grungy.

Yikes, I haven’t made textures in a long time. I feel out of practice!

Rosanna also added 9 cloud/grunge textures. Very weird and really cool

Next time I make textures, I’d love to have a better idea of what you’d like me to make next… what colours, sizes, kind of textures etc… just demand, demand, demand and I’ll try to supply *giggle*
